Sacred offering

Ayushya Pooja (also spelled Ayush Homam or Ayusha Pooja) is a Hindu ritual performed to pray for long life, good health, and prosperity. The word “Ayushya” means “life” or “age.” This pooja is usually conducted on a person’s birthday or after recovering from illness to thank the gods and seek blessings for continued well-being. It involves offerings to Lord Dhanvantri (the deity of health) and chanting of Vedic mantras, especially the Ayushya Sooktham. Families perform this ceremony to invoke divine protection and promote physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.
