Lord Dhanvantri Pooja & homam
Dhanvantari Puja is a Hindu ritual dedicated to Lord Dhanvantari, the divine physician and incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who is regarded as the God of Ayurveda and health. It is performed to seek blessings for good health, healing, and protection from diseases. The puja is especially observed on Dhanteras, two days before Diwali, when Lord Dhanvantari is believed to have emerged from the ocean during the Samudra Manthan carrying the pot of Amrit (nectar of immortality). Devotees offer flowers, lamps, fruits, and Ayurvedic herbs while chanting mantras for well-being and long life.
