About the Puja
Budh Puja and Yajna is a sacred Vedic ritual dedicated to Lord Budh (Mercury)—the divine embodiment of intelligence, communication, wisdom, analytical ability, and planetary energy.Budh Puja and Budh Graha Shanti are performed to remove the inauspicious or weakened influence of Mercury in a person’s horoscope, to dispel confusion, mental stress, and communication barriers, and to bring clarity, intelligence, and positive results. When Mercury (Budh) is afflicted in the horoscope, it can create obstacles in education, career, communication, business, and financial matters. To remove these obstacles and attain relief, this Budh Puja is performed.
Traditional Associations

Cultural Significance: Budh Puja is traditionally viewed as a source of mental clarity, knowledge, communication skills, and business acumen. Worshipping Budh Dev is believed to remove obstacles in education, career, business, and finances, enhance intellect, improve analytical ability, and bring success, prosperity, and mental balance.
Puja Procedure (as per tradition)
The Budh (Mercury) Pooja generally begins with Swasti Vachan and Shanti Path, followed by the Sankalp, where the devotee takes the intention for the puja. This is followed by the recitation of Budh Stotram and the chanting of Budh Mantra Japas vishnu puja . Offerings are then made in the homam, using green flowers, ghee, sesame seeds, rice, jaggery, and other traditional items.
During the worship of Budh Dev, other deities are also honored, including Lord Ganesha, Goddess Saraswati, Kalash Narayana, the Navagrahas, Mahamrityunjaya Rudra, and others. All rituals are performed according to traditional Vedic procedures, including homam (fire rituals), arti, and ceremonial offerings, ensuring that the puja is carried out in a sacred and complete manner.
